Description

Build on embodiment practices covered in pt 1 while further delving into interpersonal relationship skills and societal constructs at large. Join Rainbow Eric + Marcy Midnight as they address the question, "Are we One?" In the practice of yoga we are committed to investigating our personal and interpersonal conditioned life, and how the interconnectedness of all things influence our existence. As a community and movement we have the opportunity to be the bridge between spirituality and social responsibility. As yogis, we strive for self-awareness, a compassionate heart and making conscious choices that are aligned with yoga principles. As our awareness expands, we cannot help but see and feel the suffering of others, our unconscious beliefs and privilege. If we are going to bear witness to the suffering of others and be in service, we must be able to bear witness to our own suffering and in turn, find effective ways to work with and move through our own pain. Over the last 2 years we have all experienced to some degree, individual and collective trauma and are faced with the challenge of working with all that has, and continues, to transpire. This immersion is about practicing embodiment as a way to recognize and move through triggers; understanding and owning our own shadow, tending to both personal and collective wounds , and practicing artful ways of taking responsibility while maintaining a presence of compassion towards ourselves and one another. In Part 1 we focused on understanding our personal experiences and relationship with trauma through somatic embodiment practices; explored dual and non-dual belief systems; learned how to stay grounded and resourced while being in difficult conversations and/or challenging situations; we learned how to track and resource our own triggers while maintaining healthy relationship. In Part 2 we will continue to apply all of what we learned in Part 1 while further delving into interpersonal relationship skills and society at large.
