BFS Presents: CYRANO Screening, February 10th @ 8pm at James Bridges Theater BFS Presents: CYRANO Screening, February 10th @ 8pm at James Bridges Theater BFS is excited to announce a screening of CYRANO at James Bridges Theater! Synopsis: Award-winning director Joe Wright envelops moviegoers in a symphony of emotions with music, romance, and beauty in Cyrano, re-imagining the timeless tale of a heartbreaking love triangle. A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac (played by Peter Dinklage) dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne (Haley Bennett), Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her — and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.). PLEASE NOTE: Theater is overbooked to ensure capacity. An RSVP does not guarantee entry. Proof of vaccination, negative test result, or UCLA Covid Symptom Survey required for entry. The Bruin Film Society is UCLA's only resident undergraduate student organization dedicated to the sole purpose of showing, experiencing, and discussing quality film and cinema from all genres and decades. The organization seeks to promote film cultural awareness and to foster a community of avid film lovers who appreciate the medium not only as entertainment, but also as an art. Weekly meetings consist of screenings, discussions, and trivia. Events include our own Oscars-esque awards show, red carpet events, and theater trips. The Bruin Film Society Screening Series brings free early screenings to campus for students, faculty, and alumni.
