A winter walk along the Charles River Esplanade hosted by Esplanade Association. Frost Fit Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is back on the Esplanade this winter and features three winter walks led by Esplanade Association! Frost Fit Winter Walks led by the Esplanade Association encourage Boston residents to be active outside during the winter months! Each walk will be led by an EA staff member. Participants can go different distances on their own time with routes to vary by week and by weather. Please dress for appropriate weather conditions. You will receive an email a day or two before the winter walk to confirm the start location of the walk. FROST FIT WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY EA will cancel Frost Fit Winter Walks if the forecast shows temperatures below 10 degrees, high winds, a wind chill below 0, or a winter weather advisory or warning within 3 hours of the walk. Winter Walks may also be cancelled if park conditions are deemed too dangerous 12 hours in advance of a winter walk. FROST FIT COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES Pre-registration is strongly preferred to ensure the safety of participants Vaccinated participants can go mask-free! We strongly encourage non-vaccinated participants to wear a mask or face covering. The Esplanade Association will have hand sanitizer available on-site. Stay home if you feel sick and/or are part of a vulnerable population About the Esplanade Association (EA): The Esplanade Association (Esplanade.org) is a 100% privately-funded nonprofit organization that works to revitalize and enhance the Charles River Esplanade, sustain its natural green space, and build community in the park by providing educational, cultural, and recreational programs for everyone. Working in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Esplanade Association is dedicated to improving the experiences of the millions of visitors who enjoy Boston’s iconic riverside park.
