Come create with Michelle and learn to craft herbal medicine and tea designed to support you through the winter months. Have you ever wanted to try herbalism? Join us in one of our upcoming winter wellness workshops. You will learn to craft herbal medicine designed to support you through the winter months. Each participant will leave with 2-3 herbal preparations, an herbal recipe book and an informative card detailing best practices for each item's usage In this instructor led workshop you will learn how to make elderberry syrup and craft your own herbal tea formula. The berries of elder are one of the most treasured immune tonics—they are effective, nourishing, and delicious when prepared as a dark purple syrup. Taken daily throughout the fall and winter, elderberry offers us protection against colds, flu, and other viral infections and tastes delicious. While the syrup is simmering we will learn about other immune boosting herbs. Each participant will have the opportunity to sip a variety of herbal teas and formulate their own herbal tea blend. Each participant will leave with 2 herbal preparations, an herbal recipe book and an informative card detailing best practices for each item's usage. About The Artist: Michelle Beck is a Biologist with a passion for eco based art and foraging. She likes to use found objects/plants (especially invasive species) for a variety of artistic mediums. Join her for a variety of craft workshops, or a plant/mushroom identification walk!
