Description
The foreman/operator manages crew members so that utility construction is completed in an orderly, timely and cost effective fashion. When necessary, he/she operates equipment or performs production activities to complete installation of utilities. Must be able to communicate with management, have extensive knowledge of the construction business and the ability to lead a crew of 4 or more people. Must be able to read and understand prints, have a valid Driver License and be willing to obtain a Class A CDL. • Seasoned Foremen level or Superintendent level • Must be skilled in work in the public right of way including trenching/man hole installs/roadway restoration/sidewalk restoration/traffic control/safety • Must be familiar with city/county permit & inspection processes and work well with building/public works inspectors. • Able to schedule multiple crews efficiently. • Must be flexible in a changing work environment and able to respond to client needs while also documenting and reporting daily & weekly while capturing additional costs for change order development. • OHSA 30 a + - Class A CDL a + - Must have a clean driving record and valid license.
