Description

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Public Schools is considering dropping its mask mandate in its schools, after Gov. Ned Lamont recommended the state's mask mandate end on Feb. 28, the Trumbull Times reported. The Trumbull district has not finalized a new policy, but Schools Superintendent Martin Semmel reportedly said he would recommend the district drop the mandate if Lamont's recommendation is approved by the state legislature. Such a move would make masks optional in Trumbull schools. Lamont is looking to give the decision on masking back to individual school districts, much like how the governor gave responsibility for community mask decisions to municipalities.
