WISCONSIN — A driver western Wisconsin who was pulled over for speeding 50 mph over the speed limit gave state troopers an unusual reason for their rush, the Wisconsin State Patrol said Tuesday.
The person was going 112 mph in a 70 mph zone on a road in Eau Claire County, state patrol said. They said they were "running late for a party."
The state patrol didn't say whether the driver was given a citation or not, but a picture of a radar gun shows the driver's excessive speed clocked in.
"The party will always be there. Please slow down and arrive alive," the state patrol said in a statement.
