STAMFORD, CT — A Stamford man was injured in a shooting last Friday night at a private party on the city's West Side, according to the Stamford Police Department. Around 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 4, police received a call that there was a shooting at the Shining Star Lodge, located at 33 Mission St. Officers found a male victim in his mid-40's who had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper shoulder area, Conklin said. The man was also hit over the head with a beer bottle. He was taken to Stamford Hospital, treated and released. "From our understanding, there was a small private party there that evening, and some type of dispute led to this shooting. Most of the patrons had left prior to officers arriving," Conklin said. Conklin said investigators are working with management from the Shining Star Lodge to review security video.
