Newark police are asking for the public's help finding a missing, 77-year-old man, authorities reported Monday.
Riccardo Quintanilla, 77, of Newark, was reported missing on Monday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Quintanilla, who has been diagnosed with dementia, was last seen leaving 2 Nevada Street and heading toward Broad Street around 8 a.m., authorities said.
He is 5 feet 7 inches and 190 pounds, and has hazel-colored eyes, white and grey hair and a fair skin complexion. Quintanilla, who only speaks Spanish, was wearing a black jacket, black shoes, blue jeans and a NY Yankees baseball hat, police said.
Police said that anyone with information on Quintanilla's whereabouts can call the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division's website at www.newarkpd.org, or through its smartphone app.
