Here are the top stories in Austin today: "According to the U.S. Census Bureau's decennial census 2020," from 2010-2020, Austin was the fastest growing metro city of the top 100 metros in the U.S. During that time, the city gained an additional 567,082 people and had a growth rate of 33 percent. The Austin Chamber of Commerce "published an article covering highlights of that data." According to the Bureau's population estimates program, "since the beginning of the decade," the Austin metropolitan statistical area (MSA) "has grown by an average of 56,800 people annually." From 4- to 8-course menus with wine pairings and specialty sweets for your sweetheart, you can find them all at various restaurants in town, but you must make your reservations soon. New York-based chain K Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot will be located at 5200 Brodie Lane, and Soupleaf Hot Pot family-run restaurant will open at 6929 Airport Blvd. K Pot will feature hot pot and Korean barbecue with cook-it-yourself elements, which means guests will be able to "cook vegetables and meats in pots of simmer broths at their tables." Soupleaf will offer buffet-style Chinese hot pot, and their menu will include mostly vegetables, with some meat options. Soupleaf will open in summer or fall 2022, but a projected opening date for K Pot has not been set.
