Press release from Waukee Community School District: February 3, 2022 Aly Cheatham has her goals set. She wants to teach. She wants to inspire. She wants to use her story to help others. The Prairieview 8th grader has worked through some difficult vision issues during her school career. At times it was difficult to read a book or stay focused on a lesson. She's turned those setbacks into motivation. Aly is currently working with a TVI (Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments) and is really finding a new way to accomplish daily tasks. Now she believes she can do anything. Aly is hoping to use her story as an inspiration to others. Watch the video associated with this story to learn more about Aly's path to success.
