7 Middle School Champions Will Compete In Regional Spelling Bee

PLAINFIELD, IL — Seven Plainfield School District 202 middle students who are spelling bee champions will advance to compete in a regional spelling bee March 10. This year, the Will County Regional Spelling Bee will be held virtually. The District 202 students taking part in it first won at their respective schools' spelling bees. This year's winners are: Aux Sable: Nathan Lynch (8th grade)Drauden Point: Benjamin Adjei Jr. (7th grade)Heritage Grove: Madeleine Yui (7th grade) Indian Trail: Warren Monday (6th grade)Ira Jones: Sean Jansen (8th grade)John F. Kennedy: Tristan Patel (8th grade)Timber Ridge: Anthony Gerges (6th grade) The winner of the Will County spelling bee will move on to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, taking place in Washington D.C. at the beginning of June.
