Pittsburgh Police Officer Hurt Responding To Domestic Incident

PITTSBURGH, PA — A city police officer was injured early Tuesday while responding to a domestic-related 911 call in the 7000 block of Apple Street in Lincoln-Larimer. When officers arrived on the scene shortly after 3 a.m., they could hear an argument occurring inside the residence. A male spoke with police on the front porch before shoving an officer and causing a wrist injury during a fall. A second officer arrested the man. A woman with a head wound was found inside the home. She was taken to a local hospital and reported in stable condition. The injured officer was also taken to the hospital in stable condition. The suspect was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
