Teachers Assistant Opportunity for Exciting New Southampton Special Education Transition Program- PT to FT You: Experienced and compassionate Teachers Assistant or 3rd to 4th year college student with a passion to teach transitional skills to young adults with autism spectrum disorder. Us: Two connected not-for-profits with spacious, modern locations in Southampton and Tribeca, NYC with a mission to provide meaningful education and lives to those with autism. Well established program with a clear vision and defined business plan for growth in 2021. Strategic leadership provided by professionals spanning from physicians, executive community directors, clergy, hospital administration, disability research, and social outreach. Opportunity: Role entails assisting a teacher instructing vocational and transitional skills to a small group of capable young adults who are eager to learn and contribute to the Southampton community. Classroom environment is spacious and modernized with interactive smart board technology. Curriculum includes social skill development, health and wellness, communication enhancement, anxiety reduction. Interest in cooking a plus. Role offers opportunity to visit and/or provide teaching support in all new modern space and kitchen in the heart of downtown NYC Tribeca. Competitive hourly salary.
