LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested two suspects after finding stolen laptops, a stolen passport and checkbook, and burglary tools in their trunks. At around 1 p.m. Friday, San Francisco Premium Outlets security contacted Livermore police regarding a black Nissan in the parking lot that was seen driving with the door open and looking into parked cars, according to an LPD report. Officers saw the car leave the lot and attempted a traffic stop. The driver initially failed to yield, and drove half a mile before stopping on eastbound I-580. Police said they searched the car and found a glass breaker, seven stolen laptops, and a stolen passport and checkbook. The car passenger also possessed burglary tools. The driver, a 24-year-old parolee from Oakland, and the passenger, a 21-year-old from Richmond, were arrested for loitering with intent to commit a crime, evading police, and possession of suspected stolen property. The passenger was arrested for possession of burglary tools.
