Do you enjoy working with children? Do you love to draw? Please note that this is a VERY LIGHT part-time position, approximately 2-8 hours per week. The listed pay ($20-25) is PER 1-HOUR CLASS. There is an additional pay of $10/hour for any time outside of class, this will be explained during the interview. Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after school children's drawing program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches children basic drawing techniques. The curriculum encourages children to express their imaginations while improving motor skills, patience, focus, self esteem, and ability to stay on task. Young Rembrandts is seeking energetic and enthusiastic candidates in Elgin, IL who have experience working with children, who have had the responsibility for motivating groups of children and guiding their behavior.Young Rembrandts will train qualified Instructors in the Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique, and are provided all lessons, supplies, and materials.Classes are held immediately after-school in most cases, at local elementary schools throughout McHenry and northern Kane counties.All children love to scribble and draw, but at some point, many start to believe they "can't draw". We believe they can with the right training. Young Rembrandts offers classes in public and private schools at the end of the regular school day, as well as in park districts and preschools. As a Young Rembrandts Instructor, you must be available to teach a minimum of 2 one-hour classes in the afternoon each week, with preference on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Instructors are assigned to schools and stay with the same school throughout the term.
