ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police have responded to calls involving stolen drugs from an ambulance company, a gathering at a house labeled a "chronic nuisance," fireworks, stolen liquor and check fraud. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports: Drugs stolen Two vials of fentanyl were stolen between Dec. 30 and Jan. 26 from Superior Ambulance, 395 W. Lake St. The vials were stored in a safe and are assigned to a specific ambulance. The theft was reported Thursday. An investigation is pending. Chronic nuisance Police responded to a disturbance about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North West Avenue. Officers saw about 15 to 20 people leave the property, which the city labeled a "chronic nuisance." It is near Emerson Elementary School. The group, which created loud noise, entered about 15 cars parked on the street. Fireworks Aaron Beyers, 37, of Elmhurst, was cited about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Belden and Geneva on a charge of possession of fireworks. He was released on bond. According to a police report, officers responded to a call about shots fired, but it turned out to be Beyers firing off fireworks. Liquor store burglary Several bottles of liquor were stolen about 2 a.m. Friday at Doti Liquors, 104 E. Fullerton Ave. Police responded to a burglar alarm and found broken glass where a man forced entry to the business. The suspect left in a light-colored Dodge pickup truck with a plow attached. The man was described as white and wearing a navy blue hoodie and blue jeans. The case is pending. Check fraud Elmhurst Outpatient Surgery Center, 1200 S. York St., told police Friday that an already-cashed check was reused in a new amount. The center contacted its bank and requested the check be declined. An investigation is pending. Police standby A suspect requested police conduct a standby while she removed her belongings Friday from a house in the 700 block of North Howard Avenue. All the items were removed from the house. The suspect was served a no-trespass notice and asked not to return to the house. Warrant Chiquita Lee, 52, of Aurora, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Friday on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. She was released on bond. Driving violations Milton Landi-Guartatanga, 28, of Chicago, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at North and Oak on charges of driving with a suspended license and improper window tinting. He was released on bond. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
