DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A part-time bailiff accused of sexually assaulting a disabled person has been fired by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Robert Anthony Nalley, 73, was terminated on Oct. 7, according to a statement from the sheriff's office, after his arrest "as a result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in which he was charged with sexual battery and exploitation of a disabled person."
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the incident is alleged to have occurred between Aug. 15 and Oct. 5, according to sheriff's records. Authorities learned of it on Oct. 5.
