Press release from the City of Champaign: February 7, 2022 A neighborhood resident raised concerns about activity at two properties in the Hedge Road area. During the conversation about this activity, the resident stated that the City owned residential lots at 1319 Hedge and 1432 Holly Hill were being used for overflow parking on nights and weekends. Staff from the Neighborhood Services Department, the Public Works Department, and the Legal Department collaborated on a process to enter into a relocator agreement with a tow service to remove any vehicles parked on these properties. The relocator agreement will rotate between the towing services on the tow rotation list on a 120-day cycle. This process could be used for future City owned lots if needed.
