Well-seasoned bassist looking for an opportunity to collaborate with the right crew and get back into regular gigging. Familiar with and capable of playing in many styles, including pop, rock, R&B, swing, country, punk, etc. Toured professionally for 8 years as a bassist in the Texas country/western circuit; most recently a bassist and back-up singer for a 90's cover band in Austin. 100+ hours experience recording as a session musician. A utilitarian player; distinguished at upright bass and electric bass; proficient at back-up vocals, baritone to tenor range; capable of playing rhythm guitar and keyboard/synth. Dependable, professional, and consistent. If I were in James Brown's coterie, I wouldn't be fined 5 dollars for missed notes or unshined shoes. I am currently seeking a cover/tribute band in the Austin metro area; I am also open to accepting roles in house bands for spiritual communities. I am willing to audition for this role.
