Eastwood Stove & Outdoor Shoppe in Louisville, KY is looking for a Hearth Appliance Service & Installation Technician to join our team. We are located on 16120 Shelbyville Rd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable. Starting salary is commensurate with experience.Responsibilities Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (Monday - Saturday) and mandatory overtime as needed Strong Communications skills (Must have command of the English Language) Ability to lift up to 70 pounds Valid Driver's License & Good Driving Record Maintain equipment, tools, work space and assist with building maintenance as needed Will provide in-home service and/or maintenance to hearth appliances Will perform chimney inspections and chimney sweeps Must be computer literate and able to use software to report on daily service activity Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills Strong Computer Skills Basic knowledge of power tools, heavy equipment and testing devices Knowledge of or willingness to learn to install Wood & Gas Burning Fireplaces, Inserts, Liner and Chimney Systems Knowledge of or willingness to learn to service Gas Burners & Log Sets, Firepits & Outdoor Kitchens Knowledge of or willingness to learn to perform Chimney Sweep Maintenance Service Knowledge of or willingness to learn to perform preventive maintenance on machinery & equipment Knowledge of or willingness to learn product, read blueprints and issue bids Willingness to Obtain National Fireplace Institute Gas Specialist Certification (NFI) within six months of employment Willingness to Obtain Chimney Sweep Certification (CSIA) within six months of employment We are looking forward to reading your application.
