Description
Edwina Brocklesby, at 77, continues to pursue her adventuresome world-traveling life as a triathlete, marathon runner and founder of the charity, "Silverfit," which advocates the tremendous advantages of physical activity for seniors. Edwina, who only started running at 50, became at 74 the oldest British woman to complete an Ironman triathlon.
Since she was a grandmother by that time, Edwina adopted the nickname "Irongran" by which she's been known ever since. Edwina's boundless energy and enthusiasm, along with her obvious fitness, are in and of themselves the best possible example of what physical activity can do for us. Thank you, Edwina!
