Description
Robert Dobson, at 80, has just published his latest history book, titled Two Wagon Roads, a Plank Railway, the Ely Railroad and the Dead Man's Curve: Plus Old Road and Railroad Maps and History of the Central Upper Peninsula.
This is the 12th in a series of books Robert has written about the mining towns in and around Negaunee, Michigan. Before you ask, no, Robert was never a miner, but he grew up in the area and was always fascinated by local history.
After a career as a schoolteacher, Robert served as a pastor and assistant pastor at various churches. It was only in his mid-60s that Robert began the research that led to the publication of one, then two, now 12 books. Who knows how Robert will intrigue us in his next historical adventure.
