Stay N Play Pet Ranch is seeking a qualified, energetic, animal loving individual for a Pet Care/Kennel Technician with competitive pay. This position is vital to our operations and is a fast paced environment. The hours will vary between 25-40+ hours per week. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responsible for the daily cleaning and care of all pets in the facility and proper implementation of the procedures in place to provide this care. Must follow procedures as they are written in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Responsible for working cooperatively within a group, as well as individually, to ensure all daily procedures, activities and tasks are completed in an efficient and thorough fashion. Must make sure each pet in the facility has its needs met completely. Responsible for learning how to work with each type of pet in a safe fashion (how to approach, avert eyes, be non-threatening, etc.). Also be able to lift at least 30 pounds and above. Responsible for providing assistance to the front office and grooming staff as needed (lifting or holding a pet, bringing pets to and from runs, etc.) and anything else that enhances the quality of services provided to our clients and their pets. Responsible for communicating with co-workers and manager or supervisor immediately of any abnormal conditions that are observed with a pet.
