DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn has some big improvements in the works.
Dearborn's Engineering Division is planning to begin some necessary construction to improve roads and water mains this year, called the "Water Main Replacement and Asphalt Street Pavement Resurfacing" project. They are annual contracts to replace older water mains and to resurface declining streets.
City officials say that through this contract, many areas in the city will be receiving new water mains and hot mix asphalt street surfaces with new concrete curbs.
Here's a look at the streets that are slated to undergo both water main replacements and street resurfacing:
Prospect, from Charles to Schlaff Kendal, from the railroad tracks to Warren Anthony, from the railroad tracks to Warren Williamson, from Henn to 500 feet south Northbound and southbound Manor, from Haggerty to Warren Kingsley, from Haggerty to Warren Pine, from Carlysle to Southbound Southfield Service Drive Elmdale, from Outer Drive to Edna Christine Court The following streets will be undergoing just street resurfacing:
Prospect, from Greenfield to 300 feet west of Schlaff Opal Drive at Prospect Ruby, from Schaefer to Oakman Follow updates at www.cityofdearborn.org.
