GP Property Management is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician to complete work orders to upkeep the property to enhance the property and tenant experience in Northern Lake County, IL. A maintenance technician is the ultimate jack of all trades! Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and overall trades are all part of this job. If you are not completely versed in the trades, GP Property Management has a comprehensive training program to not only make sure that you are able to perform your duties, but also to help develop your professional skills! You also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner. A large part of the job is fulfilling your assigned work orders to help maintain the property, units, and to turnover units for future tenants. Our Maintenance Technicians work 7 am - 3 pm Monday-Friday with occasional snowplow duties when needed and a rotating on-call schedule. We also offer a competitive wage of $45,000-$52,000 a year, based on experience and great benefits after 60 days. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for multifamily complexes. You consistently observe the property and immediately report and initiate action to correct unsafe conditions. Working with multiple hand tools, power tools, throughout the day, you are in charge of the physical properties of a property!. Throughout the day, you will be assigned work orders that need to be completed in a timely and efficient manner. These work orders include repairs to units, premises, and turning over apartments for future occupants. This extremely important position makes a difference in the lives of the residents of the apartment complexes.
