Fyrn.com We are looking for a Wood Furniture Production Supervisor to join our team and help us build beautiful furniture. Location: Reno, Nevada Industry: Furniture Wage: $50,000 - $75,000 / Year. Salary and benefits vary with experience Education Required: High school or GED Years Experience Required: A minimum of three years experience wood furniture supervision experience. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ability to recognize and coach safe behaviors in employees. You put safety first. 2. Build positive relationships with team members to inspire those on your team to succeed. 3. “Hands on” leadership style with strong coaching, training and team building skills. - Wearing proper PPE - Selecting / sorting wood for furniture components - Cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding, and more. - Finishing wood components 4. Manage product quality, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions. 5. Maintain efficiency standards with a constant focus on productivity improvements. 6. Monitor the condition of the department and address housekeeping issues at the moment. 7. Collaborate with other members of the organization to ensure the best product. REQUIREMENTS You’ve worked with solid wood for more than 3 years and have experience building wood furniture. You have a good understanding of woodworking tools (sanders, routers, drill presses, etc). You are not afraid of working hard and repetitive tasks. You know how to get things done and work well amongst a team. BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE IN Recruiting hourly employees/team members. Manufacturing/production environment. Identifying wood defects, structural soundness, etc. Quality Control ON THE JOB TRAINING Joe, our Director of Manufacturing, and Ros, our Founder at Fyrn and knows our business will be showing you the ropes.
