Location: Corvallis, OR Type: Full Time Min. Experience: Mid Level MISSION The mission for this position is to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and tractors, trailers, semis, and service trucks to ensure equipment functionality and the top mechanical condition and performance of each vehicle. This role will also respond and repair the equipment in a timely manner when there is a break down. Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Flexible schedule required to meet the needs of the farm. OUTCOMES - Diesel Mechanic Equipment maintenance and repair on all diesel equipment and vehicles Diagnose problems, understand codes, execute necessary maintenance and repairs, including change fluids & filters as needed when time for service, install GPS components, change tracks when change in size is required, hook up implements, test and setup Service and repair construction equipment, forklifts, spreaders, sprayers, harvesters, diesel engines and all types of farm equipment/implements Willing and able to work as a farm equipment operator when necessary Has big rig driving experience and possesses or can acquire CDL Class A Execute route for Lube Truck Maintain parts inventory Provide strong communication both within the department and with other departments Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - Diesel Mechanic 3 years' experience repairing and maintaining farm implements and tractors ASE Certification preferred Associates degree in mechanical studies preferred Experience in welding Valid driver’s license required with the ability to obtain approval for company insurance Possess or obtain Farm Endorsement or CDL Class A Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred Ability to work independently and with team members Flexible and adaptable to requests with a high level of customer service The statements made in any and all of the position postings are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
