Georgia Vent Works has three open positions in need of filling. One is for cleaning tech needed immediately. The other two are for a new crew we are starting which we will need filled within the next 2-4 weeks. Those two positions are 1- Cleaning tech and 2-Lead tech. (see below for pay rates) Training is provided on the job and no prior experience is needed. Length of the training primarily depends on you and how quickly you pick things up but generally speaking the cleaning techs take 2-6 weeks to fully train and the lead tech takes 4-8 weeks. This position is full time Sunday-Thursday. 90% of the work is overnight but there is the occasional day job. We work on our customers schedules as their kitchens need to be closed in order for us to service the hoods. This means start times for each shift may vary. Below is an example schedule from one of my crews this week: Sunday- starts 9pm doing a mom and pop restaurant and a shanes rib shack. (6-8 hour shift) Monday- starts at 8pm doing a Bambinellies and a shanes rib shack. (6-8 hour shift) Tuesday- starts 8:45pm doing a shanes rib shack and meehans public house. (8-12 hour shift) Wednesday- starts 6:00pm doing southlake mall and johnnys pizza. (7-10 hour shift) Thursday- starts 2:00pm doing a detention center and a moes. (7-10 hour shift) Requirements for Lead Tech: -Must be able to pass a background check as we do locations on military bases, prisons, hospitals, and casinos. -Must be able to lead and direct your partner efficiently and effectively to complete jobs. -Must be OK with driving multiple hours every night (paid) -Must have a smartphone to receive schedule and job information. (one will be provided eventually) -Must have valid drivers license -Must have reliable transportation to work -OK with working on the roof and climbing ladders. Requirements for Cleaning Tech: -Working with your lead tech, complete the hood and exhaust cleaning at our customer's locations around metro atlanta. -OK with working on the roof and climbing ladders. -This job isnt super labor intensive but does require minor lifting and climbing on equipment. Compensation for Lead Tech: -Training pay is $11.00 an hour, after training you get bumped to $14 an hour. (once you start leading a crew) -at 6 months pay gets bumped to $15 -at 1 year pay gets bumped to $16 -Also at 6 months you receive company paid smartphone with unlimited data (youll be using this phone after training but at this point you can take it home and use it as you would your personal phone) -Also at 6 months you will be assigned a new Ford Ranger (youll be using this truck the whole time but at this point you can take it home with you and wont need to come to our shop to pick it up for work every night) -After training youll start to accrue PTO at 40 hours/year. -8 paid holidays per year (Memorial day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New years eve, and New years) Only applies if they fall on a work day Sunday-Thursday, double time if you want to work on one of these days. Compensations for Cleaning Tech: -Training pay is $11.00 an hour, after training you get bumped to $12.00 an hour. -Raises are given out on a performance basis after this. -After training youll start to accrue PTO at 40 hours/year. -8 paid holidays per year (Memorial day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New years eve, and New years) Only applies if they fall on a work day Sunday-Thursday, double time if you want to work on one of these days.
