The payer: The person who will be paying you is a long time Austinite who has been in the real estate business since the 1990's and wants quality work performed and is willing to pay quality wages. The payee: The person we need is proud of the work they perform, who wants "gig" or "on-call" arrangement and has other property owners they work for on a "gig" basis. The work: We pay for "trip charge" in addition to actual work completed. The kinds of skills needed vary and include repairs of doors, windows and locks. Advanced carpentry. Sheet rock or dry wall. Minor Appliance, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Most will be one day jobs. Occasionally I buy a new property that requires rehab and those jobs will be larger and longer. I have a crew who does these larger jobs that I lead, but we always need more help on these.
