My name is Jake, I'm glad to meetcha! I have lived a life of adventure in my 2+ years. I don't remember much at the beginning, but I was found by the wonderful people at Barely Used Pets in Urbana, they made sure I was healthy and had all my shots. They even made sure I can't make any puppies! Then I was rescued by a nice guy in Huber Heights and we had some good times. But I'm a goofy country dog in the city, and it's time for me to spread my wings and be someone's best dog ever! My good points: - I'm a GREAT watchdog! I will let you know quick and loud if anybody is coming around. - I love other dogs and people, especially kids! I haven't been around any of those "cat" things, but I'm a friendly guy, so that would probably be okay too. - I love to walk on the leash, chase a ball or frisbee, and sleep at the foot of your bed, and ride in the truck! - I have my own kennel, bowls, leash and collar! I love being outside running and exploring! - I am devastatingly handsome ;-) I'm a Lab/Shepherd mix, which means I'm smart, protective and good looking! - And I have good manners in the house--I potty outside and I only jump up in bed if I'm invited first My brother Moose is also a rescue dog, but he is getting older and sometimes I play too rough and it bothers his arthritis. So it would be fun to be with another younger dog or some lively kids to play with! But my dad will only let me go to a family that loves dogs and will take good care of me. Maybe that's you! No rehoming fee; my dad can bring me to your house anywhere in the Dayton area. Let's make some memories!
