Looking for a good family dog, older adult

We are looking for a nice family dog with zero bite history, decent vetting history and house trained. Must not have high prey drive and understand boundaries. We vet our dogs well and carry pet insurance on them. Currently have one indoor 60lb husky make who loves people and we want a budy for him. 40lb minimum weight. Breed mix unimportant, but please don't waste our time by trying to unload your problem dog on us. We do care, but we need a liveable situation at home as well. We found our dog Charlie on craigslist about 4 years ago and he's been a fabulous buddy for our female dog who passed away earlier this week, We have applied with local rescue groups and passed their process, just not finding a good match for us yet that way, so expanding our search to private adoption options.
