Assist with labor operations of a carpet workroom in Hingham. Must be reliable and dependable, have a presentable appearance and clean driving record. Candidate would be looking to make a commitment to work regular days and hours. Previous work experiences that are similar to those listed below are needed, as well as customer service skills. Maturity, attention to detail and the ability to work with, and without close supervision is a must. Serious applicants only- No smoking, headsets, texting, or personal phone calls on job site. Here is an overview of the position: • Delivery and pick-up of goods; on South Shore, Boston, Cape Cod & Rhode Island. • Courteous interaction with customers at their residences. • Ability to lift and carry heavy items. • Have experience working with hand tools. • Ability to accurately measure and cut carpet products. • Wrapping and shipping of goods. • General maintenance of warehouse and showroom. • Opportunity to learn to operate carpet specific tools and machinery. • Assist with installations: rip-up, install tack strip and padding. The hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. The work week for this position is a commitment of 20 to 30 hours per week; with opportunity to for increases based on availability.
