Description

Learn the basics of using and caring for your sewing machine Instructor: Galena W. Ages 8-adult (Under 16 needs a parent along) Are you a little intimidated by that sewing machine you bought during the pandemic? Don't worry, it's a piece of cake. We'll teach you how to thread it, wind a bobbin, install a needle, make a drawstring bag, AND we'll answer all your questions (well, most of your sewing-related questions - you can take your chances asking about life in general)! You can bring your own sewing machine or arrange to use one of ours. During the class you will make a small drawstring bag to use as a dice bag, or to keep other treasures in. We'll provide fabric and cord, or you can bring your own. PLEASE BRING: Your sewing machine and any equipment that came with it (if you need to use one of ours, please email [email protected] ahead of time)A coin (not as thick as a nickel)A fresh sewing machine needleYou can also bring your own fabric if you prefer.
