Description

Spend an afternoon walking in the woods and relishing a special forest worth protecting. Conway Robinson Memorial State Forest is a 440-acre mix of mature and immature hardwoods, pine plantations, and home to numerous wildflowers like the iconic Virginia bluebell. Join us to explore this special area loved by nature enthusiasts and horse riders alike. Currently, some land speculators are pushing to replan over 2,000 acres in the area between Conway Robinson and Manassas Battlefield for data centers and other industrial uses, opening speculation about the return of the Bi-County Parkway. Jordan Herring, Senior Area Forester with the Virginia Department of Forestry, will lead a tour of this protected area, highlighting the benefits of the forest to local flora and fauna and to our broader community. Space is limited to 30 people. In the event of inclement weather, the walk may be canceled. For questions, please contact Ashley at 703.490.5200 or [email protected].
