  Wheelchair Technician - HOU William P. Hobby/IAH George Bush Airports - Part-Time   Hourly Rate $15.00   Approximately 20 - 25 hours per week   May required evenings, weekends, and holidays      COMPANY BACKGROUND   Smarte Carte, Inc. is the leading concessionaire of self-serve vended luggage carts, electronic lockers, commercial strollers and massage chairs, as well as other passenger and guest services.   Smarte Carte is headquartered in St. Paul, MN and has operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Singapore.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES   Routine preventative maintenance & inspection equipment                 Maintenance & Inspection of Wheelchair Fleet                 Periodic Inventorying of Fleet                 Installation of new or replacement equipment as needed                 Managing Positive Customer Relations                 Timely reporting; time-sheet & maintenance Log, etc.                 Other duties as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS   Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools                 Excellent communication and customer service skills required                 Mechanical aptitude is required                 Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred   EDUCATION   High school diploma or equivalent preferred     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   Lift 50lbs.                 Walk and stand for duration of shift                 Bend and stoop regularly  Experience Required   Mechanical aptitude                 Basic understanding and working knowledge of common hand tools Preferred   Knowledge of manual wheelchairs preferred Education Preferred   High School or better Licenses & Certifications Required   Drivers License                 Airport Badge Skills Preferred   Flexibility                 Communication                 Attention to detail                 Time Management                 Troubleshooting                 Customer Service Behaviors Required   Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
