Trying to find out what type of dog I have

Hi All, I was hoping you all could help me figure put what type of dog or dogs my new puppy is. I'm pretty sure the owner wasn't accurate. She said it was half chihuahua and half maltese and would be 6 pounds. But at 8 weeks old she is now 8 pounds with big paws and growing like crazy. She's also very fast and loves to hunt. I've had a maltese chihuahua and they were very docile lap dogs and didn't care about being outdoors hunting nor were they fast. And at 8 weeks they were 3 and 1/2 pounds. My husband thinks she might be a terrier. She also raises her front paw on point when we are walking and she hears squirrels and other animals to hunt. Here I was wanting a 6 pound lap dog for my daughter and now we have no clue what size she will be. Her paws are pretty big. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
