CPR and First Aid for Babysitters - Sat, Mar 26 Are you interested in babysitting and want to become certified in American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid? JOIN US to learn these valuable, potentially life-saving skills. We will also briefly cover other important child care topics, such as positive communication, setting limits, and interactive play. Description: Heartsaver® CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. 2-year certification. Heartsaver® First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. 2-year certification. Students aged 12-17 welcome! Please bring a bag lunch. Required student manual purchased separately ($2.50). Masks are required and we have COVID precautions in place, including not doing any rescue breaths on the CPR equipment.
