Join us for an afternoon of performances, games, community building, and food, as we celebrate Golden Age Park! COMMON GROUND: A Festival for Intergenerational Public Space Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 1-3 p.m. (Orchestra performance begins at 1:30 pm) This event highlights a new neighborhood amenity: Golden Age Park. Despite the park’s intentional design which emphasizes intergenerational needs, the park remains relatively unknown in the neighborhood. This event is intended to celebrate the park and the community with an afternoon of performances, games, community building, and food! The program will feature a performance by the Heart of Los Angeles’ newly formed Intergenerational Orchestra. We hope you will join us! ////////////////////// TERRENO COMÚN, Un Festival de Espacio Público Intergeneracional sábado, 26 de febrero, 2022 1-3 pm (La presentación de la orquesta comienza a la 1:30 pm) Este evento destaca un nuevo destino en el vecindario: Golden Age Park. A pesar del diseño intencional que enfatiza necesidades intergeneracionales, el parque sigue siendo relativamente desconocido en el vecindario. ¡Este evento está destinado a celebrar el parque y la comunidad con una tarde de presentaciones, juegos, actividades comunitarias y comida! El programa contará con la actuación de la Orquesta Intergeneracional de Heart of Los Angeles. ¡Esperamos que se unan a nuestra celebración! ///////////////////// This event is part of a series presented by UN(COMMON) Public Space Group, wtih support from the Rosalinde & Arthur Gilbert Foundation, UCLA’s Urban Humanities Initiative and the UCLA Luskin Urban Planning Department. Note: This event will adhere to UCLA and Los Angeles County COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Masks are not required, but recommended, for outdoor events. The Ralph & Goldy Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies at UCLA advances research on how people live, move, and work in the Los Angeles region, with a focus on policies and interventions that provide paths out of poverty.
