This symposium will explore healthy aging from the viewpoint of policy makers, individuals working with senior citizens, and researchers. Bob Jones University Center for Community and Global Health (CCGH) third annual symposium is dedicated to promoting healthy aging, with a focus on challenges and strategies. The speakers are from various backgrounds: policymakers, social workers, clinicians, and public health researchers. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), the South Carolina Public Health Association (SCPHA), and All About Seniors are co-sponsors of this event. SCDHEC and SCPHA are partnering with the CCGH to provide continuing education contact hours for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 3.5 hours of continuing education. Social workers may receive up to 2 total hours of social work contact continuing education and 1.5 total hours of social work general continuing education. Please find speaker biographies here.
