Description

This workshop is designed to help participants develop relationships with donors. While donations to charitable causes are reaching record highs—$471 billion in 2020—the number of donors is steadily declining. Because fewer people are making charitable contributions, and those who do are making larger gifts, nonprofits must change their traditional approach to fundraising and begin to focus on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors. This workshop is designed to help participants develop relationships with donors that will lead to greater giving by learning how to a) determine who is a major gift prospect, b) align donor interests with organizational priorities, and c) ask for a major gift. The session is appropriate for development directors and any other nonprofit staff or volunteers interested in building their confidence to develop and solicit major donors.
