SALEM, MA — These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. Alia Matthias was named to the fall 2021 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Will Cherry was named to Montclair State University's fall 2021 Dean's List. Cherry is an Earth & Environmental Science major. Cherry was among more than 6,000 students named to the fall 2021 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Julianna Debonis was named to the College of the Holy Cross fall 2021 Dean's List. A member of the Class of 2023, Debonis is majoring in Psychology, Multi-Disciplinary. Debonis was among more than 1,375 students named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year. Teceder McDaniels was named to Southern New Hampshire University's fall 2021 Dean's List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in the fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6. Megan Curley was named to the Lasell University Dean's List for their academic performance in the fall 2021 semester. Lexi Howard was named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the fall 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Fall semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Howard is a Criminal Justice major at Plymouth State. Amy Nguyen, Early Childhood Preschool major, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester at the University of Vermont. Nguyen is in the College of Education and Social Services. To be named to the UVM Dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
