Join us for a hands-on "make it and take it" soap from scratch class! Come get soapy with us as we host a cold process soapmaking class with Christiana the owner of Roesbud Naturals! Is this event for you?: Of course! This event is perfect for creatives, never created anything club members, friends, date night, solo, team building, or special celebration. However, If you simply want to come and watch the class, join us! Class max: 6 stationsSoap Station Max: 2 people (splitting tickets is totally fine!)What you get: You will learn soap safety 101 and experience a hands-on soapmaking 102 workshop that will end with you being able to take home your whole 16 oz loaf of soap still in the mold! Soapmaking 102 will be a two color swirl soap as shown in the flyer. We will have a full soap cutting tutorial for you as well! The 16 oz soap loaf will be made of olive oil, shea butter, castor oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil & whatever additives you'd like! The additives provided will be colloidal oatmeal, rolled oatmeal, rose kaolin clay, fenugreek powder, and a few others! What you need for class: Every single thing needed to create a loaf of soap some scratch is included in your admission. All mixing bowls, an emulsion stick blender, sodium hydroxide (this makes soap), all oils, fragrances, spoons, spatulas, (shared) point thermometer, the 16 oz mold, the additives, goggles, containers, and the training will be provided. The only things you need are long sleeves and close toe shoes. What's the rest?: That's it! We are so excited to have you join us in making soap! We will guide you through the soapmaking experience as you learn the ins, outs, and "all arounds" of cold process soap. Reminder: This is a hands-on experience. How the class will run: Soap safety 101 will be with the entire group, bring your questions and notebooks! We will have 6 soaping stations but once we get to the making of the soap we will be working with 2 stations at a time. We will walk you through the entire process. Maximum 2 people are permitted to be at one station. (but others are welcome to come watch the class) After Class: After the 2-hour class, you can take home your 16 oz soap mold to enjoy, give as gifts this holiday, or keep it all to yourself! Cut those bars within 24-48 hours for the easiest cut! You want those bars curing for a minimum of 6 weeks to be ready for to use! (they're like wine, they get better with time!) Admission includes: • Taking home 16 oz loaf of cold process soap upon completion of the class • Everything needed to make a loaf of soap from scratch • First dibs on tickets to our march succulent soap class Come, let's suds it up!
