Celebrate The Legacy Lecture Series: A Telling of Black History Each year, the Dream Foundation, Inc has a series of events that focus on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr throughout the state of Florida, that are a a part of its "Celebrate The Legacy Lecture Series". This event, " A Telling of Black History" is to not only delve into the civil rights movement, but also the roles of literature, education, faith, art, advocacy, business and the various pieces of African American culture and contributions in America that are integral to the struggle of an oppressed and an enslaved people . To tell a true history of America that includes all cultures that make up this great nation ... bringing to attention black history and black achievement in celebration of this month in which we shed a light on said history. The event will provide film footage of important markers in black history in America ( and Florida), and presentations from some of the brightest and most respected minds in academia on the subject.
