Position Summary The Punch-Out Technician is responsible for completing assigned tasks in support of the construction team, prior to the final walk-through. This position works collaboratively with both the field and project management teams. Clients may be present on site during the punch-out process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist the field and project teams successfully and collaboratively. • General carpentry: trim installation/repair; door & hardware installation & adjustments; cabinet installation, etc. • General drywall installation & repair; drywall finishing. • General painting and paint touch-up. • General caulk, spackling, and grout installation/repair. • General plumbing fixture adjustment, minor troubleshooting. • General electrical: minor troubleshooting, electrical fixture installation. • General HVAC: minor troubleshooting. • General construction troubleshooting and maintenance. • General construction site cleanup and labor when necessary. • Maintain and update project logs to reflect completed or outstanding work. • Communicate with the team as necessary. • Communicate with clients to schedule time to complete work. • Work must be performed with the utmost care and cleanliness as typically tasks will take place in completed residences. Protect adjacent surfaces, devices, furniture, artwork, etc., and provide detailed post-work clean up. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Minimum of 4 years verifiable carpentry and drywall experience. • Reliable transportation. • Knowledge of or familiarity with, Builder Trend is a plus. • Good reading comprehension of technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • Ability to write reports and professional correspondence. • Familiarity with the operation of office equipment, such as phone, email, computers, digital cameras, copiers, wireless internet. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Understanding of customer service; respond promptly to customer needs and requests. • Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations. • Teamwork – balance team and individual responsibilities, encourage feedback, contributes to building positive team spirit. • Ability to plan/organize, efficiently manage time. • Punctuality – consistently at work and on time. Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $45,000.00 per year based on experience Benefits: • Health insurance • Gas/Truck Allowance • Annual Bonus Experience: • 5 years (Preferred)
