Description
TUCSON, AZ — The Tucson area's 27 Little League teams are expected to make their return to the baseball diamond in September, but the games won't go on without health and safety measures designed to protect players and their families.
District 5 administrator Carl Thompson told KGUN Tucson several mandates are to be expected when teams take to the field, including a requirement that players socially distance while in dugouts.
Further, players will be asked to bring their own gear to games, and balls could even be taken out of rotation after every inning, Thompson said. Spectators could also be asked to socially distance.
