EAST HAVEN, CT —The East Haven Assessor's Office will be accepting applications for the Elderly/Totally Disabled Homeowners Benefit Program from February 1, 2022 through May 15, 2022. All applicants must be 65 years or older or totally disabled as of December 31, 2021, and own and live in the residence as of October 1, 2021 and meet the following income guidelines: $46,400 maximum annual income for a married couple$38,100 maximum annual income for a single person.All applicants must provide proof of all income for the year 2021. Applications will be accepted by appointment ONLY. Kindly call our office at (203) 468-3233 to schedule a convenient time. Appointments will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Please be advised that only one person will be allowed in the office when filing for the benefit. All Homeowners that qualify for this program will automatically receive and additional tax benefit through the Town.
