ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Falcons closed their Flowery Branch training facility Thursday after one person in the organization — not a player — tested positive for COVID-19.
With a headline announcing that the Falcons planned to "work virtually," a brief statement on the team website said the decision came "out of an abundance of caution."
The Falcons plan to be back at Flowery Branch on Friday, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. They also still plan to play their game against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.
The team promoted defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to interim head coach Monday after firing coach Dan Quinn the night before. After five weeks, the Falcons have yet to win a game this season.
