TUCSON — This week the Office of the Arizona Attorney General announced that Dependable Auto, Inc. "has handed over $90,000 restitution for multiple instances of deceptive sales practices as part of a consent judgment," according to the Associated Press.
State prosecutors said that the dealership sold vehicles under false pretenses. The state's charges against the dealership also include charging consumers for third-party service contracts that were never purchased. In addition to overcharging for government fees and failing to make repairs included under warranty and protected by state law.
The judgment awaits official court approval.
