JOLIET, IL —A 27-year-old Joliet woman remains in the Will County Jail unable to post her $40,000 bail after Joliet police say she threw hot tea on her roommate during an argument inside their apartment in the 300 block of Herkimer Street. Jennifer Fase remained in jail on Monday after Joliet police arrested her on domestic battery charges. At noon on Saturday, Joliet squad cars were sent to Herkimer Street after learning that a woman was attacked by her roommate, police reports show. "During an argument, Fase threw hot tea onto the chest of the victim," police spokesman Dwayne English indicated. "Fase was taken into custody without incident. The victim refused medical assistance."
